RMI

safety management systems.
Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Studies
RMI is able to provide an experienced chairperson to facilitate
studies. Where applicable, advice can be given on strategies for
applying HAZOP in unusual or novel situations.
Quantitative Risk Assessment
Full quantitative risk assessments can be undertaken, with the aim
of generating risk contours for a particular facility. Assistance
can be provided in liaison with planning authorities.
Consequence Analysis Studies
Consequence analysis studies can be undertaken using modelling techniques,
with the aim of estimating incident impacts (on-site and off-site)
and providing information to be used by emergency personnel in developing
response plans.
Emergency and Disaster Recovery Planning
RMI is able to assist organisations to develop effective emergency
and disaster recovery plans to ensure that threats to persons, assets
and the environment are minimised in the event of an emergency,
and that the resultant effects on business operations are minimised.
Fault Tree and Event Tree Analysis
Fault tree analysis is a quantitative technique that can be used
to analyse the causes of incidents, or predict the possible causes
of a postulated incident scenario.
Event tree analysis is a quantitative technique that can be used
to predict the outcomes of an incident.
Fire Safety Studies
Fire safety studies are able to be undertaken on process plant with
the aim of identifying major fire or explosion scenarios, predicting
their impacts and providing advice on plant layout and fire fighting
systems.
Preparation of Safety Cases
RMI is able to prepare comprehensive safety cases in accordance
with legislation or applicable codes and standards.
